Compassion Over Judgment: Why Queen Bee Cleaning Was Born
Hi, I’m Carly—owner of Queen Bee Cleaning, based right here in Springfield, MO.
Cleaning has been a part of my story for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I watched my mom navigate life with OCD, and it made something very clear to me at a young age: a clean space can have a huge impact on your mental health and overall well-being. It isn’t just about having sparkling floors or organized shelves—it’s about peace, control, and a sense of calm in a world that often feels chaotic.
When I started Queen Bee Cleaning, I knew I wanted it to be different. I didn’t want it to just be about scrubbing and dusting. I wanted it to be about people. About care. About kindness.
You see, letting someone into your home to clean is a big deal. It can feel vulnerable—even scary. Someone is coming into your space, touching your things, seeing your mess (literal and figurative). That takes a lot of trust. And trust is something we don’t take lightly.
When I talk to my team, we talk about what it means to show up with compassion. We talk about how important it is to meet people where they are—with no judgment, no side-eye, no comments under our breath. Because life is messy. Sometimes you’re juggling too much. Sometimes things fall apart. And sometimes you just get behind. That’s okay. That’s human.
So if you’re nervous to reach out—if you’ve been putting it off because you’re embarrassed—please hear me when I say:
We don’t want your shame. We want your relief.
That’s what we’re here for. To lighten the load. To bring a little calm to the chaos.
And because I believe everyone deserves that kind of help—not just the folks who can afford it easily—I created Hive & Shine, Springfield’s first income-based housekeeping program. If you’re in a tight spot but could really use a hand, you can apply on our website. It’s simple, and there’s no judgment—just support.
We’re all doing the best we can. And sometimes, we need each other. That’s what Queen Bee Cleaning is all about.
If you ever find yourself needing a little help, we’re here. With open hearts, open minds, and maybe a mop in hand.
With love,
Carly
